Bamboo Cap

We have developed a bamboo cap that seals the bottle to ensures not only the longevity of the nail polish but also replaces a single use only plastic cap.

Our bamboo cap is decomposable and highly sustainable due to the following facts;

Bamboo is a grass
Bamboo absorbs five times the amount of carbon dioxide as trees
Bamboo self regenerates in 3-4 months
Bamboo contains natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties
Bamboo produces 35% more oxygen than trees

Sustainable Production

All of our nail polishes and treatments are produced with a platinum 2020 Ecovadis Sustainability rating.
Removal of all plastic inner and outer production packaging.
Removal of all excess packaging.
Limited level of VOC emissions and optimized extraction lowering the impact on the environment.
97% of hazardous raw materials, 83% of the total waste are recycled, and 100% of industrial wastewaters are treated.
A waste management policy that promotes reusable tanks and drums and recycling of solvents for cleaning operations.

(2) We understand that it is not always possible for the end consumer to return products. We therefore provide the following sorting information.

Circular Economy

You will see this sign on some of our display fixtures but what does it mean?

After you have finished using your nail polish bottle you can return the entire bottle back to us and we will:

(1) Clean using our proprietary cleaning solution

(2) Wash and sterilise using high temperature washing system

(3) Reuse the bottle and cap for a circular economy.

Complete transparency please see below the list on items we reuse:

*Bamboo cap and post 100% consumer plastic seal - 100% reused

*Nail polish brushes these are washed and returned to the supplier. To ensure we keep a high level of quality of our nail polish application the brushes need to be of the highest quality.

*Glass bottles are 100% reused

* Labels are removed and sent to our recycling partner.

Any items that are beyond use are sent to our recycling partner apart from bamboo caps which are decompose.

We are in current discussions with the European Economic Regional Fund to scale the operation so we can clean and wash third party nail polishes for recycling

Our current return and reuse rate is 16% - we recognize that the shelf life is 24 months for the nail polish contributing to the delay in returns.

Products must be entirely free of animal involvement, whether for purposes of ingredients or animal testing.

The development and/or manufacture of the Products, and where applicable their ingredients, must
not involve or have involved, testing of any sort on (non-human) animals conducted at the initiative of
the Licensee or on its behalf — whether by parent or sister company, subsidiary, sub-contractor,
supplier or any other party.
CROSS CONTAMINATION
Any potential cross-contamination with animal-derived ingredients must be prevented as far as is practical and possible. As a minimum surfaces and utensils must be thoroughly cleaned down prior to being used for a vegan production line. Be aware of the risk of cross contamination from non-vegan sources in the production area and take all reasonable practical steps to eliminate this. If producing non-vegan lines too, we strongly recommend running the vegan line first.

All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.
